Return to Summer, Getting Here and First Weeks in Alamos

A Little Problema

Praise the Lord, we had no major mechanical problems on the way here this year; but, on arriving in Alamos, we started to hear a horrible banging noise on the rough roads. Pastor Lorenzo of the Assembly of God came over and found that we had a broken leaf spring on the truck. No problema, he would do the mechanic work and take me to get a new spring. We took the old one off, then off to Navojoa to get a new spring. Of course, they didn't have the right size, so they cut a piece off one and sold me that. This is Lorenzo working on the truck, at a point when we were just about to install the new spring.

Lunch for the Mechanic and Helper

Lorenzo was so pleased to be invited into the camper for lunch. He wanted a picture so that he could show his brother that he had lunch in the camper with his Canadian Amigo. Something we never thought of as being a big deal was an unforgettable experience for Lorenzo. The truck now doesn't make that horrible noise anymore (the noise was the loose end of the spring rattling agaist the other springs. With no load on it really didn't affect the truck's handling)
